When using XCP with NFS, there are some issues when copying, and if some files cannot be copied, the status will show as failed. In this state, is it possible to perform synchronization with the ID used at the time of copying? Note: When copying as the root user, it cannot be made to fail and cannot be confirmed. When running as a general user, a posix path must be used, and although I was able to make it fail, synchronization does not support posix paths and cannot be confirmed.

I am changing the Protection Policy from 'MirrorAllSnapshots' to 'MirrorAndVault' for 200+ volumes. I am using System Manager, so it is a slow process. I would much rather use ONTAP CLI with some scripting like SSH, Ansible, REST API, or the older NMSDK. Please let me know if there's an easy scripting method to accomplish this or other repetitive tasks. An example would be great. Thanks again for your assistance. Retail vendors are not immune to data breaches. This is a well-established fact. We are all very aware of bad actors and their ability to scale their havoc across organizations of almost any industry. What is significant for retailers is the long term impacts it has to future buying behaviors of their current and future customers. Often, their ability to grow future revenue and garner customer trust can negatively impact retail companies more than the actual breach itself. My colleague, Gil Schaham, wrote a great LinkedIn post that really drives this home highlighting the recent string of high-profile companies publicly reporting being hacked and how the immediate breach not only significantly impacts business, it can influence buying behavior. I thought it would be worthwhile to share his findings in the NetApp community! 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬. 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭? Hello. I am implementing MAV on several storage systems that have Snapcenter protected datastores for vSphere. When running backup jobs, the jobs finish correctly but on the storage systems approval requests have been created to delete snapshots and therefore in the storage the recycle process does not occur. Is there any way to tell the MAV from the storage or plugin that the Snapcenter source is a safe source? Thanks
