ONTAP Hardware
Hello
If you look at the ONTAP8.02 system configurator - http://now.netapp.com/NOW/knowledge/docs/hardware/NetApp/syscfg/scdot802/index.htm - and select V3240 and Expansion Slots/Cards you get a table telling you what card should go in what slot.
In the boxes for the slot number there is E then a number 1 - 6. Can someone explain the significance of the E and the number ? Is it the recommended slot for the device or something else ? I dont want to assume what I think it might be.
Thanks
Dave
E stands for PCI-E and an X for PCI-X. The number indicates the preferred slot order.
