Hello
good day.
I want to mount an NFS volume from my NetApp storage to a Hikvision NVR.
Each time I specify the file path, it discovers the NFS Mount, via the IP addresses configured on the storage.
But it is greyed out on the NVR Server itself.
Is there a compatibility issue here, or a permissions issue?
Please help out to resolve this.
Solved! See The Solution
So I have resolved it
The IP addresses we specified were the NFS data IP addresses
These were pointing to the SVM root volume
So I edited the mount policies on the storage, and added the NVR IP addresses to the default IPs.
I created custom policies before.
So I just mapped the default policy to the NFS Volumes I created, and rediscovered on the NVR devices.
I am good to go now
A compatibility issue could possibly exist if compatibility was claimed. Does NetApp claim support for that software, or the other way around?
On the Internet most people have problems with NFS and there are generic workarounds (not related to ONTAP but related to share settings, including for SMB).
I really can't state exactly if NetApp supports the software or not.
I know it is an embedded linux system.
But do you know how I can confirm if NetApp supports that software?
Is there a NetApp tool I can use to confirm this?
