Decode snapdrive logs on Windows

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can read the snapdrive debug logs? I see a lot off snpdrvdbglog***.dat files on my windows servers in the snapdrive installation folder. I'm having issues with snapshotting the VM's on my Hyper-V cluster with snapdrive and I wish to see what snapdrive is really doing.

I did some searches and saw somewhere that I have to decode the logs with a utility called sddbglog.exe. Where can I find this utility?

Regards,

Erwin

Hi Erwin

In my Installation Folder I have files like snpdrvdbglogXXX.log. I can open this files with a Programm called SMS Trace (Trace32.exe). I do not have install this Program. I think its part of the Windows 2008 Installation.

Snapdrive: 6.4

Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1

Thomas,

Thanks for your reply.

I can't find trace32.exe on my servers. Is this tool not something from System Center Configuration Manager?

In the Installation Folder from snapdrive I have snpdrvdbg.log and snpdrvdbglog.dat Files. Do you have only .dat?

Following KB I found:
