CIFS service is down on host

Hello community,

I monitore with Oncommand core package all my filers and I get thes alarms (CIFS service is down on host or NFS service is down on host ).

I checked filers and vfiler and protocol is allow and cifs or nfs are working fine.

Do you know why I receive these alarms?

Hi - Is the CIFS and NFS Service started on your physical NetApp Filer or a vFiler ?

Hi Martin,

Yes NFS server is running but I I got a new alerts "Host NFS service is down"

Did you try to update/refresh the filer information on oncommand core.

I uninstalled DFM and installed Oncommand and same problem

Uninstalling DFM wont help as that doesnt appear to be issue.

could you attach a screenshot at all? Do you have any Firewalls between the management Server/Host and the NetApp Filer/vFiler?

Martin,

DFM use SSH or snmp to monitor NAS, as the monitoring is ok for all services except NFS & CIFS it should be another issue (not a firewall issue).
