Network and Storage Protocols
Network and Storage Protocols
Hello community,
I monitore with Oncommand core package all my filers and I get thes alarms (CIFS service is down on host or NFS service is down on host ).
I checked filers and vfiler and protocol is allow and cifs or nfs are working fine.
Do you know why I receive these alarms?
Thank you for your help
Hi - Is the CIFS and NFS Service started on your physical NetApp Filer or a vFiler ?
Hi Martin,
Yes NFS server is running but I I got a new alerts "Host NFS service is down"
Did you try to update/refresh the filer information on oncommand core.
Hi,
I uninstalled DFM and installed Oncommand and same problem
Uninstalling DFM wont help as that doesnt appear to be issue.
could you attach a screenshot at all? Do you have any Firewalls between the management Server/Host and the NetApp Filer/vFiler?
Martin,
DFM use SSH or snmp to monitor NAS, as the monitoring is ok for all services except NFS & CIFS it should be another issue (not a firewall issue).

Can you attach the output from a 'dfm host diag [hostname]' run from the DFM server?
