How to migrate from vfiler to regular volume?

I would like to know if anyone had done this and if so, what were the effects, anything to watchout in particular. I would like to move a vfiler from one cluster to another cluster and the target will be a regular volume and will not be a vfiler. The vfiler has only cifs/nfs shares and cifs is AD integrated. Is it going to be as simple as assigning the ip to the target filer and creating a volume there and copying data over?

Thanks

Kishan

Nobody ever did this? I had done this in a test environment and everything checks out OK.

never got to try this.

this will give you an option if you want to stay on a vfiler, and at the bottom of the link is another option which is good if you want to get off

a vfiler.

You re lucky to have a test environment
