LUN to CIFS share conversion

Hi All,

We have few 1 TBs LUNS which are allocated to one of our server, which houses home/dedicated shares and etc..

i would like to know the best practices to convert a LUN to CIFS share. ( i don want to copy whole data again to a new volume and share it out. )

There is no other way besides host based copy from LUN to share.

map the share on the same Server where you have the LUN ... use "Robocopy" to transfer the data.
