Hi, do any of you know if Ontap supports the BFD Protocol?

The documentation provided in the link below suggests using aggressive timers to detect fallouts but as far as I can tell the using BFD is a much more elegant solution to this problem.

Hi, thank you for the reply. That was my suspicion as well. Per your suggestion I have discussed this with out NetApp support contact and the reply he got was that this feature is on the roadmap but is not locked to any particular future release at this time. The release schedule is probably subject to demand.

Hi @JonarJ ,
I would hazard a guess and say that ONTAP does not support BFD as they only just started to support MD5 authentication in ONTAP 9.16.1, which is yet to GA.
I would talk to your NetApp Sales team to raise a feature request via the Feature Product Variance Request (FPVR) process.
