What will happen to the old Sun/Oracle 6580 & 6780 ?

Can you please help with the below request from one of our Partners?

Following the recent NetApp acquisition of the LSI products, do you know what will happen to the old Sun/Oracle 6580 & 6780 (i.e. is the product still on a longer term roadmap)?

The reason I ask is that we have a few customers that have previously invested a fair bit in this product range and obviously we want to protect their interests. Although I don’t believe there has been any announcement from Oracle, I’m fairly sure that they will drop the 6000 range pretty soon, following their acquisition of Pillar. My main question is, will we be able to source the NetApp version for the foreseeable future?

Thank you,

As far as I know NetApp is commited to supporting the E7900 but upgrades to the systems from Oracle will stop at some point.
