qtree migration and time-stamp attributes

Dear Community members,

I am planning to migrate a CIFS qtree (hosting all Windows home shares) between two volumes within same filer using qtree snapmirror technology.

My question: does qtree snapmirror preserve the file time-stamp attributes?

Many thanks in advance for your replies.

Guido

Is your team working on this or do you think it fits better in the NetApp Support Community?

Looks like Allan Watanabe  was not able to help on this issue.  We have external and internal subject matter experts in the NetApp Support Community answering questions about Data ONTAP.  If you have a NOW login, this link enables you to engage them about this.

Hi Guido,

I have not done this using qtree snap mirror.

I have done same, migrating home accound on cifs share using NDMP, it preserve the file time-stamp attributes. You can try using ndmp if you have not heared anything from NetApp.

Thanks,

Sahil

QSM and VSM should preserve file attributes.
