We are evaluating new backup software for our Netapp environment. We currently use Avamar, which is non-cluster-aware, so our clusters are in node-scoped NDMP mode.
For our test, we want to test cluster-aware products. This will require us to switch the cluster to SVM-scoped.
The question is, if we switch to SVM-scope, will this cause our currently-running Avamar backups to fail?

To my knowledge yes it will. Once you flip over to SVM scoped, it will be a cluster aware backup.
