Create audit log on Snaplock Enterprise volume fails

Hello,

we have Snaplock Enterprise to be able to delete WORM files just in case.

Tried to delete a file, which fails without an audit log on a COMPLIANCE volume.

"Error: command failed: Audit logging is not configured for Vserver"

Created an ENTERPRISE volume, but audit file cannot be created:

"Error: command failed: Volume "logVol" is not a compliance volume"

So ... I bought a Snaplock ENTERPRISE license to be able to delete WORM files

but I need a Snaplock COMPLIANCE license to create a Snaplock COMPLIANCE aggr and log volume on it, and to be able to create an audit log in it...

Netapp.. are you serious? Smiley Frustrated

In order to log a priv delete, snaplock log volume must be a compliance volume.

I could be wrong, but I thought the license was good for either..

This doesn make sense at all ...

we have the SLE license to be able to delete worm files, which is not possible with an SLC license at all.

So SLC does not even need a 'priv del log'...

ok ... so I understand that you need an additional SL Compliance aggregate to create an audit log volume,

and when creating the aggregate you have to chose "Compliance" instead of "Enterprise", is this correct?

Unfortunately, we dont have any disks left for an additional SLC aggregate.... 😞
