The replication alternatives between NetApp devices are ONTap software dependent.
Such migrations from other platforms require using "robocopy" on Windows or rsync on unix or linux (or products of equal capabilities) to move the data over to the NetApp unit.
You need an external server for such migrations. For Windows migrations, that is pretty much the only choice, as rsync would mangle file rights.
