Does it lost data when convert raid-dp to raid 4

Hi,

I have to convert raid dp back to raid 4, which I have some aggrs, vols, luns and data on it. So do I lost my data after converting from raid dp to raid 4 ? I'm using cluster data ontap 8

Hello

When you change an aggregate's RAID level from RAID-DP to RAID4, the extra parity disks are converted to spares. In addition, the raidsize option is changed.

So normally it does'nt affect data consistency.
