FC Target to Initiator - Can I avoid a reboot/failover

i.e Will source /etc/rc after using fcadmin to change from target to initiator complete the task or will a failover/giveback or reboot be required?

Unfortunately i think its a full reboot as the FC-adaptor needs to be re-initialised.

Correct.. .after fcadmin config -t initiator 0n ... a reboot or takeover/giveback is needed. You will see the change status "pending" on fcadmin config until then.
