FC-VI Active-Passive

Hello,

a have got some questions about the function of FC-VI Cards.

a.) These Cards have 2 Ports. Is it true, that these ports are working in an active/passive mode?

b.) If yes. If the connection between the primary path fails, what happend? (Soft reset on FCVI Card, non-distruptive switch on the other port, ???)

Background to my questions:

I had some strange behaviour on one fabric-attached metro cluster when we had some troubles with the ISLs of one fabric.

Yes, this cards are active-passive. If the active port goes down, the standby becomes active. No resets are needed.
