How to add Local Tier to existing S3 Bucket?

I added a new aggregate to the system, but don't find the option how to add it to an existing S3 Bucket.

Hopefully somebody can help me out.

thank you!

Hello Maurice,

So you have an S3 bucket , in ontap this is based on flexgroup volume , if you list volumes you will find some volume named fg_oss_**** this the volume containing the bucket.

To expand the container volume ( that is a flex group volume ) you need to run volume expand command .

https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-cli-9101/volume-expand.html#description

Bare in mind that if you want to resize also the bucket then you might hit into this bug/defect :

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/ONTAP_S3_object_store_shows_unavailable_after_bucket_resize

More on the best practices : https://www.netapp.com/media/17219-tr4814.pdf

Hope this helps ,

Alex.
