I have demo system with one controller FAS2040 and Clustered Ontap 8.1.4
In system manager 3.0 there are no fc interfaces listed.
How to enable FC interfaces on 2040 Clustered Ontap?
FC is licensed.
How to enable them?
Thanks

does "network fcp adapter show" show any interfaces? Probably are set to initiator... "node run * fcadmin config" and then fcadmin config -d -t target on each then reboot the node.

node run -node cl-01
fcadmin config -t target 0a 0b
fcp start
did the job, now they are enabled and showed up in System Manager as target ports.

How are you running C-mode on a 2040? I didn't think there were 10G links available on that model - a requirement for C-mode per my understanding.

You are right… no SAN support…I thought I saw 2240 when I first read it.. FAS2040 supports up to 8.1.x cDOT for NAS only… not 8.2 though. Max of 2 nodes.

The only exception for cluster links is on 2040, it is using 1G ports
And yes, 2040 supports Clustered Ontap, thats why I like NetApp FAS

NAS only support up to 8.1 uses 1GB for cluster… don’t know if any actually were installed in the field.

I also have a 2040. I have followed this string, and I keep getting "fcp is not licensed", even though I have tried to add it after a fresh wipe of the drives. Nothing seems to work. I can't see the storage from inside the esxi..
