Hello,

I  connected LUN Netapp on windows server. It works prefectly but, i found that antiransomware is not enable on LUN Netapp. 😞

Also, it seems, it is not possible to restore file, just somes files on LUN volume from snapshot, that is true ?
It is possible restore all the volume but not somes files

Also, tiering policy not work on LUN volume ?

thanks a lot

Hello mulbzh,

At this moment ARP works only on NAS workloads. You can't use it on SAN volumes.

Kind regards,

hello:

Anti-ransomware as far as I know is the use of workload analysis in NAS environments to proactively detect unusual activity that may indicate ransomware attacks and issue warnings, the following links can help you quickly understand.

https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/anti-ransomware/index.html#autonomous-ransomware-protection-with-artificial-intelligence-arpai

The following is an introduction to the three volume stratification strategies, or see if the license capacity has reached its limit, if not contact netAPP technical support

https://docs.netapp.com/zh-cn/flexpod/hybrid-cloud/cloud-fabricpool_set_volume_tiering_policy.html

Best regards.

1) I connected LUN Netapp on windows server. It works prefectly but, i found that antiransomware is not enable on LUN Netapp. -

ARP is not supported for SAN
https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/anti-ransomware/#autonomous-ransomware-protection-with-artificial-intelligence-arpai (The ARP/AI feature currently supports only NAS)

2) Also, it seems, it is not possible to restore file, just somes files on LUN volume from snapshot, that is true ? It is possible restore all the volume but not somes files -

You can use the volume snapshot restore-file command to restore a single file or LUN from a snapshot. You can restore the file to a different location in the parent read-write volume if you do not want to replace an existing file.
https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/data-protection/restore-single-file-snapshot-task.html

3) Also, tiering policy not work on LUN volume ? -
It works for SAN workloads but it is recommended to do it properly.
