Monitering NetApp Storage CDOT 8.2.1

Hi All,

I want to moniter my NetApp Storage. Like if aggregates, volumes, LUNs, Disk, CPU's percentage, IOPS, Latency etc cross any particular Threshold (it could be Percentge % , IOPS, Latency) will trigger Alerts or warning emails to our email Ids. I do not want to take any GUI based Application software or tool support because i believe from CLI we will get accurate and exact value. I prefer CLI. Kindly guide me for "SNMP"??? Thanks.....

Hi,

You might want to look at NetApp SDK, there are libraries for most popular languages like Perl, C, Java etc. You can fetch tons of metrics and store them as you wish, we store it in graphite.

There is a  sub-forum available for the SDK and issues / questions with it.

As mentioned in the above comment.. OCUM - Oncommand Unified Manager suites well.

Does OCUM provide CLI access to its data? I thought it's GUI only tool.
