NAS volume and Snapshot copy size

Hi all,

a volume contains 10GB of data, but the latest Snapshot copy contains only 198KB of data.

Could be the reason, that the snapshot policy allows to keep only the most recent data changes?

That means you haven't had many changes since the snapshot was taken.

Hi @paul_stejskal, thank you for your response. Then, I think, this situation is really caused by the Snapshot policy, that is defined to create the Snapshot copy with only the most recent data changes. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

Without any snapshot config/details information, I cannot speculate even.

Hi @paul_stejskal, I completely agree with you. On the other hand, the faster you can estimate the possible solution/issue, the better you will be awarded.

You would have to look at snapshot show and snapshot policy show too for that volume. I don't know what the schedule is, when it was taken, the workload on that volume, etc.

You have got a point there! Unfortunately, this sort of tasks are quit common in the exam tests and therefore there is a great opportunity to get prepared for tests when resolving these issues without detailed information.
