Customer is asking the following :
Is this possible to restore a data that has been saved with ONTAP 9.11.1P11 via NDMP to a FAS2552 running 8.2.5P5?
Could you help us to confirm this to customer?
theoretically it may work
according to old papers
"Clustered Data ONTAP volume can be restored to a 7-Mode volume"
but it may depend on too many variables , like how the backup was made
if it was smtape engine f.ex. then I'd expect it won't work
