NetApp Command auditing

Hi NetApp Experts,

We like to enable auditing of commands executed on a our ONTAP9 CDOT system. For example, if some one creates a volume or offlines a volume or excutes any commands on CLI those commands need to be captured in the audit log.

I read the documentation about security audit configuration, it does following things but our requirement is to log all activities performed using a SSH connection via putty. How can this be achieved? please advise.

Whether get requests for the CLI are audited
Whether get requests for the web (HTTP) interface are audited
Whether get requests for the Data ONTAP API (ONTAPI) are audited

Hi @Baiju625

You may want to check out the following KB Article as it does answer your questions to some extent - https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/Overview_of_ONTAP_Logs#Audit_Logs

Hope this helps.
