NetApp Volumes & Shares sizes don't match sizes shown by TreeSize.

NetApp Volumes & Shares sizes don't match sizes shown by TreeSize.

For example, NetApp shows a volume at 2T.  TreeSize shows 15T and counting.

Why the difference?

Maybe you have some efficiency process on your NetApp Ontap.

Like Deduplication, compression, compaction

The efficiency can drastically reduce your file footprint, but an external tool, can’t see this.

You can see this efficiency report on the dashboard of you Ontap system
