Hi there!

Those tools are for managing our FAS/AFF products.

These tools are incompatible with E-Series systems.

For E-Series, you need to use the SANTricity product.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
According to this NetApp Kb (https://docs.netapp.com/ontap-9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.netapp.doc.vs-ig-es%2FGUID-B6D64EA4-E409-416D-A046-8E59EC8FCECA.html)
Can you pls confirm, Is it possible to communicate with onTap through E-Series ?
If yes, Can you pls explain how is this possible ?

Thanks and REgards,

Divya Jyoti Das

We have a licensable feature set on modern systems (FAS8000 and newer) which allows array lun virtualisation to be used instead of FAS disk shelves. The supported arrays include E-Series.

manageontap.jar is a set of java bindings, which only covers managing the FAS systems, so there is no crossover of functionality between what you've asked about and that link. It might have features in there for managing flexarray LUN assignment, but it is from the FAS point of view, not the system behind it.
