Dear Community

Looking forward to your valuable advise here

We have an AFF200  running Ontap 9.10 .

Offlate we have been having more and more requests for multiprotocol access  of the shares

As of now we dont have LDAP Client configured for SVMs and hence we rely on creating local user creation / mapping for such requests

We would like to explore possiblity of LDAP integration of SVMs for name services  .

Majority of the NAS Shares are unix security style

We have AD 2019  as well as OpenLDAP ( name service / identity management for unix servers  )  in our environment as LDAP Servers

which one should we choose for LDAP integration  of Netapp SVM  ?

Both will work fine, but the benefits of AD would be centralized management of all users and groups and easier Kerberos integration.
