What are the commands needed to reverse a SnapMirror relationship without the need to break and resync the data?

I don't fully understand your question. Based on my interpretation of what you wrote, it is not possible to reverse a SnapMirror relationship without breaking it since a particular relationship only flows in one direction. Also, you make it sound like 'resync' is a bad thing; 'resync' is a good thing in that it allows you to refresh a relationship without performing a full initialization as long as there is a common Snapshot between the source and destination.

It would help me provide a better answer to your question if you provided a little more detail about what problem you are trying to solve.

Hi Michael,

Actually you got me into this one with ****** at ***** at

the EBC on the Road.  :^)

Josh had mentioned he can push a button with his ****** and reverse

the mirror without breaking the relationship.  You mentioned that you

thought we had commands or a script that would do the same thing.  I

have been trying to track this done.

Thanks for your assistance!

ok...

As per my understanding there is no way to reverse the Relation..

You go for "break -f" then resync the same..

Please note earlier source volume must not be having "-L" option enabled..

If you use Snapvault Relation then you have to modify and update the relation also.
