Hello everybody,

We are trying to PoC NetApp SMI-S Agent to collect information from our cDOT SVMs.

The instlalation of the agent was succesfull and the services are running.

But when we run (as admin) the shortcut "Data ONTAP SMI-S Agent" we get the message:

'smis.cmd' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

When run (as admin) the smis.cmd from the installation directory we get:

" ( was unexptected at this time.

Info:

OS: Windows Server 2012 R2

AGENT: 5.2.1P1

Anyone got some pointers?

Did you get it resolved? I got the same thing on both 5.2.2 and 5.2.3

I know this discussion is old, but I just ran into the same problem with SMI-S Provider 5.2.4. Adding a PATH environment variable to both Administrator and System didn't work.

My fix was:

Click Start > Programs

Right-click NetApp SMI-S Provider --> More

Select Run as Administrator

Now WHY I still had to do this when I opened the command prompt in elevated mode is a whole other question. But hey, it worked.
