Since upgrade to Data ONTAP 9.8 - "Audit Log Disabled" is reported in AIQ

Hi All,

 

Since we upgraded three of our systems to ONTAP 9.8, AIQ now reports that "Audit Log Disabled".

 

We only run an audit log if needed to do so when resolving an issue with NetApp support and so our preferred setting is to have the audit log disabled as it is on all our other systems which are running ONTAP 9.5P6.

 

The only suggested resolution provided by AIQ is to turn it on: vserver audit enable -vserver <vserver name>

 

Is there a way to disable the notification in AIQ or should it really be turned on all the time?

Hello,

 

There is no current workaround beside the one provided by enabling audit at the moment. You can monitor the below link once a workaround or fix is available regarding those security events:
