Hi Gurus,
Looking for option to snapmirror from 7-mode (8.2.5) to CDOT (9.12) for data migration without downgrading the ONTAP on CDOT (because this CODT cluster is already a DR for another 9.12 CDOT cluster, so don't want to downgrade it). Please let me know if any options exists.

starting with ONTAP 9.12.1 DP\TDP snapmirror engine is deprecated
Note: Beginning with ONTAP 9.12.1, transisition data protection (TDP) relationships are no longer supported for 7-mode volumes. Use CIFS or NAS tools i.e., (Robocopy, Xcopy, XCP, Rsync, or NDMPcopy) to transfer data to CDOT Clusters then use SnapMirror technology

Hi,
7MTT supports till ONTAP 9.11.1, therefore you only need to downgrade the CDOT (9.12) to (9.11.1).
The destination CODT cluster is already a DR for another 9.12 CDOT cluster ---
We can replicate from 9.12 (Source) to 9.11.1 (Destination) as it is listed in the "Compatible ONTAP versions for SnapMirror relationships"
