Hi,
If you do not specify a license key you will not be able to create a ONTAP-v virtual machine. If you specify an invalid license key, the VM will not boot.

I thought it might boot into a 30 day time bombed instance.
Then suffice to say I would need to reach out to our partner to get an eval license codes to trial it?

Evaluation licenses with thirty day expiring feature licenses are available. The Evaluation version is limited to 2TB of raw capacity.

What is the process to obtain eval codes? Is it something we can request via netapp.com?
Or do we need to contact a channel partner to request it?
Cheers

It appears that the licenses provided through the registration email expire after 90 days.
