cDOT/cmode 8.2 showing "Pre 8.2" for LS mirrors only

We created new destination volumes, setup new mirrors again and we are seeing "Pre 8.2". We setup a snapmirror policy. When we try to use -policy option in snapmirror create we get an error when -type LS is used. We also noticed the lag time is not updating (along with the new fields added in 8.2 for snapmirror). If use -type DP in snapmirror create we can use the -policy option. We upgrade from 8.1.2P4 to 8.2P2.

To check this:

snapmirror show -vserver xxxx -fields relationship-capability,lag

FYI, from NetApp support:

“SnapMirror relationships, except load-sharing relationships, which are created between two volumes which are both on a storage system running Data ONTAP version 8.2 and later have the "Relationship Capability" field set to "8.2 and above".”

“Load-sharing relationships are created with the "Relationship Capability" field set to "Pre 8.2".”
