how to snapmirror VMWare VMs to a remote cluster

we are on AFF300 version 7.5P7. looking for an easy way to replicate VMware VMs to a remote cluster.

believe snapcenter with VMware plugin and snapmirror may get the work done. Can someone share your experience?

We are using NetApp FC volumes for VMWare vSphere. Just wondering the snapmirror can be done on either volume level or VM level? we may have a few hundreds of VMs need to replicate.

thanks

I would definitely recommend using snapcenter to replicate these vms.  Snapshots at the volume level wouldn't be application consistent.  here is an excerpt from the product documentation.

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere

The SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere provides a vSphere web client GUI on vCenter to protect VMware virtual machines (VMs) and datastores, and supports SnapCenter application-specific plug-ins in protecting virtualized databases on primary and secondary storage.
