make a volume read-only

I Need to pass a volume from online to read-only. But I must continue to serve the data. 

So the restrict option don't work. 

Is there a way to do that ?

I am running a 8.2.4P5 version in 7-mode.

Is the volume SMB/NFS?  If so, just modify the permissions/export policy to only allow read-access from the clients.

Ok I already thought about this but I have a many vfilers and a lot of CIFS shares on each one.

I guess I'm going to have a long day.
