need to backup smo snaps to tape using backup exec

Have a partner sitting next to me asking how can he de-stage his smo 'long string name snapshots' to tape using backup exec.

There are quite a few scripts around for TSM, NetBackup and Networker,   these backup software provide good text file or cli mechanisms to update the list of objects to backup prior to start a backup.But, what about backup exec ?

has anyone found out any mechanism to update the list of backup objects to backup dynamically ?

no it doesnt

I know those scripts pretty well, its not a matter of finding which snapshots to backup to tape.

it's a matter of feeding the name of those snapshots dynamically into backup exec.

how do I do that ?
