snapmanager for sql, renaming snapshots

Hi,

Im looking to possibly implement snap manager for SQL, however I would like to name the Snapshots with a specific name relating to an ID of the process calling the snapshot.

If I was to rename the snapshot, given It doesnt seem that I can specify them when taking the snapshot. How would this then effect snapmanager for SQL?

Cheers

David

David,

SMSQL allows you to specify a snapshot name when you create a snapshot.  The snapshot name can be specified from the GUI or the command line.

Hi Mike,

I don't  find on SnapManager for SQL where can I specified the snapshot name by the GUI or command line. I can only change from "unique" (time stamp) to "generic (_recent)" naming convention. Can you give me the command please?
