snapmirror failed

Last Transfer Error: Destination volume "sv_test:sv_volume" must be an empty data-protection volume.

got this error when I tried create mirror relationship from system manager.

new volume will be empty right - not sure why it says destination must be empty DP volume.

The volume must be entropy and the data protection type. If it is read write (RW) then you cannot create the mirror. Offline/delete the volume and recreate with “-type DP” then initialize the mirror
