We have SnapCenter snapshot configured for both VMWare plug in and SQL. Just noticed the on demand policy will not expire any snapshots even it has optiosn to keep snapshot for fixed days or keep snapshots for fixed copy numbers.
Contacted NetApp, they confirmed it is by design, no snapshot on on demand policy will be auto-expired.
Usually we use the on demand snapshot policy for VM and application maintenance, we are OK to let them expire after a few days. but now we have to go back and manually deleted them.
any thought or other ways around to archive this?
