Hi All,
If the controller is single head, only one interface use for data ,(e.g. "e1a") with ip subnet 10.21.33.X netmask 255.255.255.0
Can this controller create vfiler with different subnet IP (e.g. 10.21.35.X netmask 255.255.255.0) ?
Thanks
Alex

You can but only with vlans if different subnets. I the same subnet you could ifconfig alias on e1a to add additional ips. For different subnets on e1a you would need to create e1a-xx ad e1a-xy. For each subnet then enable on the switch.
I would also create an Ipspace for he vFiler so that the two subnets don't share a routing table and each can have their own default route.

I posted a PDF of the vFiler lab guide I wrote. You can search for it in one of the posts or I can find later when back on my laptop.

Do you have lab on demand access (partner or var)? The Lab on Demand folks took our preso and labs from the Insight conference and posted to the lab environment in March. This is the link https://communities.netapp.com/docs/DOC-15001
