Hello.
I have a FAS8040, and I plan to upgrade its ontap version from 9.1 to 9.3, but there is a read/write volume in the system with 2TB space and 614KB free space, and the usage space is 99%. This volume will not grow, can I upgrade it? Or do I need to expand it, how much is appropriate to expand it?

Hello,

A data volume at 99% wont cause any problem to the ONTAP upgrade.

You can go ahead with the upgrade activity.

Not always true. there are some cases where ontap needs space, like for sis/dedupe etc.

If there is any issue, then the upgrade checks should let you know
