will SCV need SanpCenter to work?

looks the SCV is independent from SnapCenter. we configured SVM on VMs. will we need snapcenter to make the SCV to work?

is there any relationship between SCV and snapCenter?

Looks not to me, but NetApp document is not make it clear.

I wanted to clarify the relationship between SCV and SnapCenter, as it might seem a bit confusing at first. Yes, you are correct that SCV (SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere) and SnapCenter are indeed independent products. You don't need SnapCenter for SCV to function properly.

 

However, there is a specific scenario where you would need to register SCV with SnapCenter hosts. This is only necessary if you plan to perform application-over-VMDK workflows within SnapCenter.
