I have a question about the 2240-4 with a drive shelf attached. If i have two controllers in an active active mode. Does each controller have to have a raid set on each disk shelf. Or can i have one controller control the internal disk and one control the attached shelf. I am wondering do i have to split the drives in each shelf to get HA with the controllers. If i have to split the drives do I lose 3 drives to each raid set with raid6DP and one hot spare per raid set.
