Hello,

We have dual FAS8040 running Ontap 9.2

Have all drives that are self encrypting where 12 of them are 800GB SSD and 64 of 1.8 TB 10k rpm drives.

Looking online the self encryptong drives can not be used for flash pool agregates

https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1196986/html/GUID-B347C746-FD91-484D-8BA6-A23D7C05EABE.html

On another article it says that 800GB SSD can be used are are self encrypting

https://community.netapp.com/t5/Technology/New-800GB-NSE-SSD-Expands-FAS-Security-Options/ba-p/91371

Can we use 800 GB SSD drives for Flash Pool aggregate on FAS8040 systems runnign Ontap 9.2?

Thanks,

Martin
