HI,

I am looking for some suggestions on what to do when moving 3 shelves form an old 3020 filer to a 3050c.

The 3020 has 3 shelves (ESH2) that i want to move to the 3050c running 7.3.2

Any suggestions and recommendations...

I have already removed all user volumes in the aggr but the root vol (vol0) remains.

Cheers

Should be no problem. Old root aggregate will be detected as foreign and remain offline, you simply destroy it. This assumes you do it online, while target file is running.

Just as an update, all 3 shelves added without issue. Aggregate added as foreign offline and destroyed. new aggregate currently initializing.

Thanks
