Hi we have FAS8300, Shipped with 2 shelves with 12*8TB Drives.
Netapp has created default aggregate (root) with 3 drives. So i have left with 9 drives in each shelf.
Since we need more capacity, can i add remaining drives to default root aggregage, is there any impact here.
Second option whether i can use Advance drive partition. any steps available to perform this and what it will do.
please provide some suggestions.
Regards
Kamal

After you run opt9/9a/9b and run the cluster setup wizard you'll have the root partitions created. You can then easily create the data aggrs from the wizard in the GUI.
just to note: running either opt 4 or opt 9 (and it's sub options) from the boot menu will wipe the config and data from the HA pair.
