Netapp Disk Replacement

Hi,

I am running Fas 3240 running ONTAP 7.3

Some disks got failed on disk shelves and I replaced them with new ones that I received from Netapp. Do I need to issue any commands for controller to pickup new disks?

It depends if disk auto assign is on and if a shelf has mixed assignment or not... you can check with "disk show -n" ... the -n will show any unassigned disks.  If you see unassigned disks then you know it didn't assign and you manually assign with "disk assign x.xx.x" for individual disks shown or if you know all disks go to one side you can run "disk assign all" to assign all to a controller.
