Is there step to show new replaced disk on CLI or new disk has some problem?
Thanks.
Hi Taiki,
Is the disk listed as new disk ? Use the command below to check the new disk
disk show -n
Once the disk is visible from the above command use command disk assign to provide ownership to the disk
disk assign 0c.00.9 JPTKY102
If it doesn't work i will suggest to reseat the disk remove and insert it again and see ?
Thanks,
Nayab
Hi Nayab,
It's still invisible from the command and same result after reseat disk.
JPTKY102*> disk show -n
disk show: No disks match option -n.
I thought disk cover or receiver aside netapp might be broken but broken one visible as broken from disk show -v command.
Problem with disk itself ? Could you pls let me know if any other ways.
OKiee, I dont think its a problem with disk shelf itself but how about suspecting the HDD firmware and Disk Shelf firmware compatibility ?? ( Although Netapp delivers correct HDD ).
Can check it from the HARDWARE UNIVERSE comparing you DS firmware against DISK Firmware
http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/download/tools/diskfw/
Check it using sysconfig -a command
Also check if DQP ( Disk Qualification Packages ) are up to date ?
Thx ,
Nayab
Introduced URL can't open because Unauthorized Access. Is there any other way to check firmware compatibility.
I typed sysconfig -a as result followed and bay 9 is visible in disks list.
