V-Series and Flash Pools

Hello

What are the rules of using flash pools with V-Series ?  As I understand it, on FAS you can mix SSD with SAS or SATA disks (only one type) in an aggregate but what if you have LUNs from a 3rd party array, will the V-Series know what they are made from ? So potentially its up to the person configuring it to make sure its ok.

Hi Dave,

Flash Pools are supported on V-Series with NetApp disks only.  You cannot currently have a FlashPool built from array LUNs.
