can the ds20 shelf house a 2040 controller ?

we're upgrading our 2050 with a 2040, and migrating the 2050 to another site.

rather than removing the disks from the 2050's ds20 shelf (there's only 10 disks there now),

and inserting them into the 2040's shelf,-

can we insert the 2040 controller into the ds20 shelf in place of the 2050 controller?

in other words, can the 2050 shelf house a 2040 controller?

I'm sure that this is not supported and will not work, though I can't find any documents at the moment which state this explicitly.

i know the disks can be moved. i just wanted to confirm that the processors where not interchangeable between the ds14 and ds20 shelves.

michael answered what i was told by my supplier. just wnated to confirm.
