Hello,
Recently I have added an fcp initiator (wwpn) to an exisiting igroup. after adding , I do not see it as "logged in".. The zoning is good.. Do we need to change some setting or add both the initiators in the igroup together as a best practice.?

I'd say the missing step is rescanning on the host.

Hi,
Is the pwwn correct? Did you rescan disks / hba on the host after adding initiator to igroup?

Hi Radek,
Thanks for the response. Yes the pwwn correct on the switches.. Is rescanning required on the host side ?
The host is already seeing the LUN over a single path. I added a redundant path today with the other initiator of the host on the other fabric.

Member: c0:50:76:03:e8:aa:00:52 (not logged in)------- redundant initiator of the host which I added
UUID: 50aed88c-c6a6-11e1-ae2b-00a09820168b
ALUA: Yes
zone config:
* fcid 0x0c0200 [pwwn 50:0a:09:87:8f:6f:95:82]
* fcid 0x0c0300 [pwwn 50:0a:09:86:8f:6f:95:82]
* fcid 0x0b0027 [pwwn c0:50:76:03:e8:aa:00:52]------ redundant initiator of the host..
The zoning and pwwn looks fine. Is there something I have missed after adding the initiator to the igroup?
The sequence I added it are:
1. Zoning on the switch.
2.Add the initiator to the existing igroup
Regards
Rahul
